SOPHOS — Sofía Iriondo
A real freelance client (via Upwork, referred by Mónica): the full design and development of a bespoke portfolio website for Sofía Iriondo, a product designer whose philosophy is "design made for people". The brief was a site with its own distinct personality — warm, close and human — designed and coded from scratch.

Custom portfolio website (design + build), unique brand identity, responsive layout, Netlify deployment
Sofía, referred by Mónica, designs human-centred furniture and objects — "design made for people". She needed a portfolio with its own clear personality, warm and close, and visibly different from Mónica's site. The challenge was to give her a unique identity without starting the engineering from zero.
- Give Sofía a unique identity — not a clone of another site.
- Convey warmth and closeness from the first screen.
- Put her people-first philosophy at the centre.
- Build it responsive and easy to maintain.
- Deliver it live, hosted and ready to share.
The identity is warm and editorial: a terracotta and cream palette, a serif-and-sans type pairing that feels crafted, and playful flower motifs. The hero is a photo collage that celebrates the people her design serves — makers, families, everyday life — so the site leads with warmth, not just objects.
I reused the code architecture I built for Mónica's site — design tokens, components and layout system — but gave Sofía a completely distinct skin: her own colours, typography and concept. Same solid engineering, unique soul. It's an efficient way to deliver bespoke work without reinventing the foundations each time.
I designed and built the site in HTML, CSS and JavaScript — responsive, with subtle scroll animations and detail pages — and shipped it live on Netlify. Designing and coding it myself kept the final result faithful to the intended feel.
A warm, distinctive portfolio that puts people at the centre — delivered live and responsive, and my second client on Upwork, referred by the first.
Building a reusable architecture that still lets each brand feel one-of-a-kind was the real lesson here — solid foundations, unique surface. And that doing good work brings the next client: Sofía came as a referral from Mónica.
