Azzia · Gabriela

A real freelance client (via Upwork, referred by Mónica): the full design and development of a bespoke portfolio website for Gabriela, a product and industrial designer behind the brand Azzia Creative. Her visual world is bold and maximalist, so the site had to match that energy, expressive and confident, while letting recruiters explore each project's full process in depth.

THE CHALLENGE

Gabriela, referred by Mónica, is a product and industrial designer with a bold, expressive visual identity, the opposite of a minimal, quiet portfolio. She needed a site that matched that energy and was clearly different from Mónica's and Sofía's, while showing the full journey of each project: ideation, exploded views, renders and final pieces.

GOALS
  1. Give Azzia a bold, unmistakable identity of its own.
  2. Show each project's full process, not just a cover image.
  3. Balance maximalism with clarity and easy navigation.
  4. Build it responsive and easy to maintain.
  5. Deliver it live, hosted and ready to share.
VISUAL DIRECTION

Controlled maximalism: dramatic contrast between large and small scale, generous negative space, and blocks of magenta and green used as points of attention, plus a full-width green intermission band. Typography leads, with her real 3D renders as the hero of each project.

INTERACTIVE PROJECT GALLERIES

Each project opens an interactive lightbox gallery with filters, Project, Ideation, Exploded view, Render, Final, plus a spec sheet (user, problem, criteria, materials). Instead of a single cover, a recruiter can explore Gabriela's real design process end to end, right on the page.

SAME ENGINE, UNIQUE SKIN

Like Sofía's site, I reused the code architecture built for Mónica, design tokens, components and layout system, but gave Azzia a completely distinct, bolder skin. Same solid engineering, a very different personality: three portfolios, one reusable foundation.

FROM DESIGN TO CODE

I designed and built the site in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, the filtered galleries, the responsive layout and the scroll animations, and shipped it live on Netlify. Designing and coding it myself kept the maximalist intent intact from Figma to the live site.

OUTCOME

A bold, expressive portfolio that shows Gabriela's process in depth, delivered live and responsive, and my third client on Upwork, all referred through Mónica.

LEARNINGS

Carrying a maximalist brand into clean, maintainable code, and building a filtered gallery system with a spec sheet per project, pushed my frontend further. Three portfolios from one architecture also proved how far a good, reusable foundation can go.
