Bity Bites · Cookies
A real freelance client and my full stack final project: a complete online shop for Bity Bites, Gabriela's artisanal NY-style cookies in Madrid. I designed it and built it end to end, a React storefront, a Node/Express + MongoDB API, user accounts with secure login, a cart, orders and an admin panel, deployed and live. It's the most complete project of my master's: it covers every module.

Gabriela bakes NY-style cookies in Madrid and sells through Instagram and DMs. She needed a real online shop where customers could browse the catalogue, build their own box and order, and where she could manage everything herself. It was also my full stack final project, so it had to cover the whole stack: frontend, backend, database, authentication and deployment.
I built it end to end. A React (Vite) storefront talks to my own REST API in Node and Express, backed by a MongoDB database. The front consumes the API for the cookie catalogue, the cart and the orders; the back handles the data, the users and the business logic. Both are deployed on Vercel and redeploy automatically on every push.
- Cookie catalogue served from the database.
- "Build your box" cart with quantities and total.
- User sign-up and login (registered users get a discount).
- Secure authentication: hashed passwords, GDPR-minded.
- Orders saved to the database.
- Admin area for Gabriela (role-based): she sees orders and manages the catalogue.
I also designed the whole brand experience in Figma from her Instagram identity: soft pink and fuchsia, a playful script paired with a rounded sans, sticker-style badges and appetising product photography. The shop feels as sweet and close as her cookies, and still reads clearly and converts.
A complete, live online shop, and the most complete project of my master's: it brings together every module, frontend, backend, database, authentication and deployment, in one real product. Graded 56/60 and highlighted by the tutor as one of his favourite projects of recent modules.
Building a full product end to end taught me how the pieces really fit: how the frontend talks to an API, how data and users live in a database, and how to deploy and keep it running. This is where I went from building interfaces to building complete applications.
